Zong is determined to bridge the distance between academics and the telecommunication industry. Recently, it has signed MoU with Allama Iqbal Open University. Zong will be providing cutting edge products and services to the faculty and students of AIOU. Now, another university will be getting the telco’s services. The only 3G & 4G operator has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with University of Central Punjab (UCP).
The MOU was signed at the auspicious occasion of the 17th Convocation of University of Central Punjab by Pro-Rector UCP Professor Dr. Muhammad Zafarullah and Zong Chairman/CEO Mr Liu Dianfeng. Mian Amir Mehmood was there in the ceremony along with Chairman Board of Governors and Chairman PHEC Dr. Nizamuddin. Mr. Liu Dianfeng attended the convocation as Guest of Honor. In his remarks, Zong Chairman & CEO noted,
The students of today are the leaders of tomorrow, and it is essential that these future leaders are equipped with state of the art 3G & 4G communication tools to encourage them to attain their educational pursuits to the fullest.
Here are some words from Pro-Rector Professor Dr. Muhammad Zafarullah:
UCP stands for educational excellence and brilliance, and in the twenty-first century these cannot be achieved without a smart partnership with communications based technology. The MOU signed today is hence a much needed step, and we are hopeful that it will serve best to the benefit of UCP as well as Zong.
