The popular videos platform YouTube is going to bring live broadcasting for its mobile users soon. In recent-going VidCon, the announcement has been made by YouTube CEO Susan Wojcicki. The major rivals of YouTube i.e. Facebook and Twitter has already launched live mobile streaming which has gone quite popular. Now, YouTube live videos is soon set to debut.
Google, the parent company behind YouTube, has confirmed this in a blog post. In the blog post, it has termed this as ‘a new chapter in YouTube live stream’. This feature has been rolled out for few users and will be made available for all in coming days. While delivering a keynote at VidCon, YouTube CEO Susan Wojcicki said,
While TV networks are losing audiences, we’re growing in every region and across every screen.
YouTube Live broadcasting feature will be integrated in its mobile app. Once it gets added, you will be able to broadcast your videos live. It will comprise of all major features of regular video i.e. quality adjustment, audio controls etc.
Indeed, this is a big step forward by YouTube! Though Facebook Live and Twitter Periscope has first mover advantage, still YouTube Live possess serious threat to both.
