WhatsApp finally adds Pakistani flag in its emoji list

WhatsApp is the widely used chatting platform across the globe. It is the most used messaging app in Pakistan. Many telcos are even offering special packages for WhatsApp usage. The app features over hundred emojis that includes smileys, symbols and flag signs.

WhatsApp has now added Pakistani flag in its emoji list. Many Pakistanis were waiting for this as they were unable to post statuses and use it in chats. Recently, Indian flag was brought to the app. And now, the flag of our beloved country has been introduced. There have been many campaigns on Facebook demanding WhatsApp to add Pakistani flag. Many Pakistani users created several social pages and groups to urge the company to take the step. Finally, they have succeeded!

The latest version of WhatsApp i.e. 2.12.250 features our national flag along with other improvements. You can now mute individual chats too. Previously, this feature was limited to group conversations only. Moreover, a variety of new emoji has been added with different skin color options. There is now also support for Urdu and Bengali languages.

The update begun rolling out before the Independence Day of Pakistan for some users. Now, it is available via Play Store. If you have not got the update, you can get the latest WhatsApp version from here.
