The global body for professional accountants i.e. Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto Institute of Science and Technology (SZABIST) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to promote professional qualification among the students in Karachi, Hyderabad, Larkana and Islamabad campuses.
According to the MoU, SZABIST Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) program will not only acquire maximum exemptions in ACCA qualification but they will also facilitate each other in academic materials which will help in teaching, training, and preparing students for examinations. Furthermore, ACCA will conduct the R & I workshops for SZABIST students and faculty, providing relevant “train-the-trainer events” and support from the professional qualification’s learning and content partners. For SZABIST, this will imply access to online education hub consisting of ACCA’s paper specific resources and technical articles for faculty and students, as well as participating in the Student’s brand manager program.
The ceremony was attended by Rehan Uddin, Head of Education MENASA, Almas Abbas, Head of Education South, Assad Hameed khan Head of South, Khurram Iqbal Business relationship Manager Learning and Taimur Khan Business Development manager.
Rehan Uddin, Head of Education MENASA stated,
I strongly believe that this is an excellent opportunity for students of SZABIST to top up their academic degrees with a globally recognised professional accountancy qualification. ACCAs are known to be complete financial professionals, having breadth and depth of skills, which are needed by employers. It is also a great opportunity for the students, lecturers, and the faculty to benefit by our state of the art Research and Insights.
This is, indeed, a big news for the SZABIST students enrolled in BBA programme. Thumbs up to both the organizations!
