Here is how to perform NADRA CNIC verification using SMS

NADRA has now launched the SMS service for CNIC verification. As told earlier, the authority is re-verifying the CNICs to help implementing National Action Plan (NAP). The official date for NADRA CNIC verification service to go live was 1^st July. However, it can be used right at this moment.

How to use NADRA CNIC verification service:

Follow these instructions to verify your CNICs along with ones of your family members:

1. Send your CNIC number (with or without dashes) to 8008.
2. In reply, you will get the names of all registered family members.
3. Now, reply 1 if there is somebody unknown in the list or reply 2 if everything is ok.

A NADRA representative will contact you in case you ought to reply ‘1’. Any person either family head or individual can use this service to check registered family members. NADRA has already started sending messages regarding the procedure to family heads.

There is a major drawback in this NADRA CNIC verification service. If anyone knows your CNIC number, he/she can get the list of your family members and can also reply to verify the list.

The service seems to be working fine for all telco users except Telenor. In case you can’t perform NADRA CNIC verification, wait for 1-2 days so that it gets complete working.
