What’s the Strength

The sprightly direction under the hands of Sakun Batra has managed to capture even all the minute details of family matters cerebrally. A person watching Kapoor and Sons can relate himself with the scenes in one or other way.

What’s the Weakness

When it comes to emotions, Kapoor and Sons is a class but the unnecessary humor was not demanding at all. Only the small punches could have done the great work.

Storyline

Kapoor and Sons will go in a way where two brothers Rahul (Fawad Khan) and Arjun (Sidharth Malhotra) are London and New Jersery residents respectively while their family is settled in Coonoor, India. Their parents are Harsh (Rajat Kapoor) and Sunita (Ratna Pathak Shah) along with an interesting Daadu (Rishi Kapoor). Rahul and Arjun had to come back on urgent basis as their Daddu suffered a heart attack. Daadu is a happy go appeal in the film but their parents are endeavoring with their marital life. This is not it the two brothers have some disturbing issues which gets heated when they come together. Then comes the Tia (Alia Bhatt) who becomes a mutual connection between both unsuspectingly and set fire to their already burning relation.

Performance and Music:

The stars have justified their roles with Fawad Khan’s performance and looks standing out. Sidharth Malhotra is simple yet elegant in his role. Alia Bhatt looks exquisite while playing Tia a mixture of bubbly and emotional nature. Rajat Kapoor and Ratna Pathak Shah Shines like a natural couple. Rishi Kapoor has played his role in an excellent manner and he is a treat to watch. Music is perky and used when relevant, which is a wise choice in form of emotive and party songs.

Yay or Nay?

Kapoor and Sons is the movie of your interest if you are an emotional drama’s lover. It is a slice of life film, loaded with some relish-able scenes. So it is a cute family film that can be watched without getting bored as it is full of comicalness.
