After about one and a half month of launch of Ascend P8 series, Huawei has now updated its high-end Honor series. Huawei has now unveiled the latest Honor 7 smartphone. The biggest highlight of the handset is its fingerprint s canner which is placed right below back camera. Most of Huawei Honor 7 specs are similar to Ascend P8 but, it excels in providing better camera and battery capacity.
Huawei Honor 7 comes with HD IPS LCD display with 1080p resolution. Lying underneath is Huawei’s own Kirin chipset. It is interesting to see that Huawei is using its own chipset and processor rather than Qualcomm. We have recently seen Kirin chipsets excelling in performance and stability against Qualcomm in few benchmark tests. Other reason behind using Kirin is less cost. Huawei definitely will be required to pay more if it purchases chips from Qualcomm. Moving back to Huawei Honor 7; the device is powered by Kirin 935 chipset. The chipset comprises of two quad-core Cortex A-53 processors, clocked at 1.5 GHz and 2.2 GHz. Other specs include 3 GB RAM and 32/64 GB internal memory with external SDcard support.
The dimensions of the handset are 143.2 x 71.9 x 8.5 mm. It weighs 157g only. Huawei Honor 7 features a 20 MP camera with dual-ton flash and sapphire protective glass. The front camera is a wide-angle 8 MP, best for selfies. The battery capacity is 3,100 mAh. It supports fast-charging.
