Google Maps for Pakistan gets offline viewing

We recently told you about Google Maps Pakistan getting Live Traffic feature. Now, here is another big news! The popular navigation app has got the offline viewing feature for Pakistan. It means you can now download certain parts of maps of Pakistan and store them for viewing later. Wow!

To use this amazing feature, all you need is to launch Google Maps app. Tap on Settings in top left of the screen. Afterwards, tap on ‘Offline Areas’. Now, select the areas which route you want to download and tap ‘Download’. That’s it! All the related data including places of interest, addresses and navigation routes will be downloaded so that you can access them later.

It is important to mention here that any downloaded offline data will expire after 29 days. This is because the maps keep getting updated by users over time. Once your offline maps completes 29 days, it will get updated with new data. Google Maps allow you to keep multiple offline maps. The size of data may vary depending on the area (mostly in MBs).

Indeed, a great feature for Pakistani users! What are your thoughts on this story? Write to us in comments section below.
