Facebook Reactions – You can now Like, Love, Haha, Wow, Sad and be Angry

The much awaited Facebook reactions are now finally here. They have now been rolled out to every Facebook user around the globe both on web and app. This new feature has made Like button more enhanced. It means other than a simple thumbs up for liking; you can express your feelings towards a post/status in more ways.

With new Facebook reactions, users can show love or haha or wow or be sad or angry towards a post/status. These new reactions have been in discussion for quite few months now. As expected, Facebook has not gone with dislike button. Rather, it has implemented it in more useful way through these new reactions. Here is what Mark Zuckerberg has to say regarding this new feature,

Not every moment you want to share is happy.

Sometimes you want to share something sad or frustrating. Our community has been asking for a dislike button for years, but not because people want to tell friends they don’t like their posts. People want to express empathy and make it comfortable to share a wider range of emotions.

It means you can now more effectively share your views towards any status/post through these emoticons. It took a year of discussion and research to finalize the emoticons to be used so that they could be universally accepted.

To use these new Facebook reactions, all you need is to click and hold the Like button to view all new emoticons. Facebook believes in keeping things simple that’s why only five new emoticons are added that are widely used. People are quite pleased with these new reactions.
