In an effort to benefit online merchants and websites, Bank Alfalah now accepts credit cards on the internet. Bank Alfalah has signed an agreement with MasterCard for the provision of this service i.e. the introduction of MasterCard Internet Gateway System in Pakistan. This partnership is of great importance as it brings Pakistan’s leading card services provider, Bank Alfalah and MasterCard’s expertise and technology in one place.

The proposed system will also make online merchants able to collect their payments in bank accounts directly. Speaking on the auspicious occasion, Mr. Atif Bajwa, President & CEO, Bank Alfalah said,

We continue our quest to develop a world class payments eco system in Pakistan that creates value and convenience for customers, merchants, and partners. Bank Alfalah will leverage its flagship merchant acquiring business to develop the e-commerce space through MIGS in the country.

Mr. Raghu Malhotra, President, Middle East and North Africa, MasterCard commented,

We are delighted to announce this deal with Bank Alfalah as we continue to drive the evolution of payments in Pakistan. Business owners can now easily take their businesses online and offer their customers the convenience and security of electronic payments.

The service will debut in Pakistan in few weeks. Afterwards, we will definitely be sharing further details. However, it will certainly benefit Pakistani people. We hope that Bank Alfalah introduces online payment solution in Pakistan as it is something quite useful and worthy!
