Albayrak A-Taxi begins its operations in Pakistan

Pakistan’s first ever professionally regulated and metered taxi service has finally launched its operations in Pakistan. CM Punjab Shahbaz Sharif and Istanbul Mayor Kadir Topbas inaugurated Albayrak A-Taxi cab service on 16th February 2016. Now, the service has finally begun its operations for public.

As told earlier, Albayrak A-Taxi cab service has got fleet of 100 cars i.e. Suzuki Swift and Honda City. The service can be availed by a UAN number and an Android app.

The app is currently not stable and is in Turkish language. It will be improved in a week or so. Moreover, the support for English and Urdu language will also be added.

As per fare rates of A-Taxi, you will have to pay Rs. 120 for first three kilometres of travel. After that, for each additional kilometer, you are required to pay Rs. 35. There are no waiting and other hidden charges.


As per Ahmet Yildirim, Albayrak Deputy Manageing Director, the cabs are equipped with GPS devices to enable real-time monitoring of their location. He further said regarding the company’s plans to extend their operations to various cities:

Depending on the feedback of users and market demands of the province, we will make the decision about taking the service to other cities.

Albayrak Board of Directors member Mustafa Albayrak also shared his thoughts:

We have not entered the Pakistani market just as a business venture. We’ve made a sincere effort to invest in the welfare of Pakistani citizens.
