3G and 4G services to reach Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan soon

So after more than one year of launch of 3G and 4G in Pakistan, the residents of Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan are going to experience the services soon. Remember, PTA did not award the spectrum for provision of services in these areas during the 3G and 4G licenses auction.

The reason behind the delay is the lack of infrastructure and equipment in these areas. The telcos have now upgraded their system. They have now expanded the services to most part of Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan. Moreover, the government of Azad Kashmir has also granted consent to PTA for deploying 3G and 4G services. PTA has now begun the process to award the spectrum. In its official statement given on the website, PTA states:

The operators have covered most part of the AJ&K and have also extended services to main localities of GB. Now, as a result of this, mobile services with data facilities are available in far-flung mountainous areas of the country.

The process for Next Generation Mobile services Award has already begun and soon people of AJ&K and GB will enjoy the high-speed wireless broadband services in their areas.

A large number of residents of these areas were waiting for 3G and 4G services in their area. Several Facebook pages were made to express the demands of the people. Finally, they have something to welcome in this regard. Surely, it is a matter of few months now when the citizens in these areas will be enjoying fastest internet.
